*If this nonsence gains traction even at age 80 I will plan to leave the country. Ms. Mutu and her entourage should "study" Maori social statistics and the means whereby they may be improved. Peter
*The way forward, for a harmonious future, can only be by all NZ's to follow 'One Land, One Law & Equal Rights' for all people who live here. What is John Key thinking? We can't vote for this! Gary
*There is absolutely noting wrong with what we currently have. Where will this ever end? Tim
*I'd rather see a constitution based on the original American one. Ron
*Typical Key and his mates sucking up to minority groups. Laurie
*Absolutely not. The Treaty has no place in the law of New Zealand. If we go any further down the path of separatism it will only end in tears. Race based laws are divisive and corrosive and we in NZ need to start looking ahead instead of back. The Waitangi Treaty should now be consigned to the dustbin of history where it belongs. It has no place in the future of New Zealand and its incorporation into a new constitution which incidentally is not required would only be for the benefit a minority and not the many races and cultures that inhabit this wonderful country. Allan
*Absolutely no! Better to get rid of the Treaty altogether and bring true democracy to NZ. Barrie
*First of all, which Treaty of Waitangi are we talking about? There are several versions in existence. There is the Maori version which, being the one signed in 1840 is the legal one. Then there is the English draft from which the Maori version was translated. Then there is the English version that was made after the signing which has a very broad interpretation on the Maori version. So, which one? Anthony
*Whats going on here , it is beyond belief!!!!! Simon
*Maoris have too much say now. Margaret
*As a kiwi born and bred I find I have less and less rights come to marton and you will see life is one big party every night of the week. Richard
*DEFINATELY NOT. SUPPORTIVE OF THIS NONCENSE, IDIOTIC IDEA. NICK
*We are preparing to get out of NZ. Our house will be marketed after Christmas and now we have reached retirement age we are off to join our family in Aus. We will vote in Nov but not for the Evil one who couldn't care less about Newzealanders unless they are Maori. Labour are a bunch of goons but at least they didn't go as far as the lot we have now. The country is well and truly screwed and why in the hell people are still supporting Key beats me. I wish someone could explain to me what his motives are and what he is trying to achieve. Chris
*Radical Maori are interested in taking over everything the immigrants ie. white working folk who have built the country from a tribal cannibal existence to a luxury living standard they enjoy now. It will end in tears for all including the radicals as they don't create but live in envy. Want.want. want never give. Ian
*John Key and his sidekicks have let down badly the non maori residents of this country. Mike
*This is just more madness. Do you think Key and co are just seeing how far down this path they can go before the NZ public finally wake up? With the results of the Foreshore & Seabeds very fresh in mind, I doubt that the public will ever wake up until all is gone. Ronmac
*Absolutely NO. God forbid. Whats becoming of our country? 99% of voters support left wing Greens, Labour, Maori and now left wing National. What hope is there? Bruce
*That it is wrong is an understatement - it is a travesty! Michael
*New Zealand does not have a constitution as such. The Treaty of Waitangi is a treaty of secession, were governance was seceded in exchange citizenship. We have no written constitution but from 1840 until the adoption of the Statute of Westminster 1922 followed same convention as the U.K.. Sadly from the time of the ratification of the above statute by the N.Z. Parliament in the Nineteen Forties these convention have been eroded by Governments of persuasions, by what in my opinion has been bad legislation. We do need a written constitution, with one law for all. A constitution that limits the power of Government. Such a document exists " A Constitution for New Freeland". Deborah Coddington may still have a copy. If not it can be found on the Libertarianz web site.

*A constitution must clearly be based on individualism..... not collectivism or tribalism or this group or that religious order etc etc otherwise you have lost your level playing field before you even start. Ian
*No leave it as it is. The greedy Maoris activists are getting away with far too much. Frank
*We already have a written constitution. It is called constitutional law and is not all in one place but it works. So if it aint busted then don't try to fix it. K
*I think its starting to turn the other way... everything is becoming so maori and p.c. as to not offend the maoris that we are loosing what us good ol kiwis know as New Zealand... they are getting all these perks like cheaper schooling.. and we have to work hard for ours? the RWC everything is done in maori as portraying NZ... when you dont really se that type of stuff in everyday life... infact is you go to the south island you barely even seen any maori... Anna
*Hell NO. We already have the tail wagging the dog. Laurent
